Common questions

Pricing, Straight Up

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We assess the job on site, then agree a fixed price with you before any work starts. Once that's locked in, it doesn't change, whatever we find once we get into it.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, completely. Coming out to look at the job, work out what's needed and give you the full picture costs nothing, whether you book us afterwards or not.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, it's a $0 call-out fee on every visit, no exceptions. The price is agreed before any work starts, so nothing extra shows up on the bill once the job's finished.

What discounts do you offer?

New customers get $65 off your first service, no strings attached. Beyond that, any job valued over $200 includes a free plumbing inspection at no extra cost, every completed paid job earns a complimentary premium garden tap, and there's a 20% seniors discount too, with everything able to be used together.

Common questions

Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

Simple, single-fixture blockages often clear with nothing more than a plunger or a good flush of hot water down the drain. Anything beyond that, especially where roots or a fractured pipe are involved, is licensed-plumber territory under NSW law, so it's worth calling before it worsens.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

The plumbing between the house and the street is your job to maintain. Beyond that boundary, the water authority owns and looks after the pipework, and a blockage sitting on your side still calls for a licensed plumber to fix it properly.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Our lifetime labour warranty covers every job we do, no fine print attached. We come back and fix it at no cost, regardless of how long ago the work was carried out.

Do wipes really block drains?

Flushable wipes are not flushable, and they're one of the biggest culprits behind the blockages we're called out for. They stay intact in the pipe far longer than toilet paper, snagging on roots and rough joints until a full clog builds up.

Common questions

Response Times and Booking

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes, a real person answers the phone day or night, not a call centre. If it's urgent, we'll get someone moving right away and stay on the line with you until help arrives.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Sewage coming up through a floor waste, a yard gully that's overflowing, or several fixtures blocked at once all point to something urgent. Stop using taps and toilets if you can, and call us straight away rather than waiting it out.

How fast can you get here?

Most jobs around Willoughby get booked in and finished the same day we hear from you. Call early and there's a good chance a plumber's already on your street by mid-afternoon, with later calls still squeezed in too.

What happens after I call?

One of our own crew picks up, listens to what's going on, then books you in for a time that suits, often the same day. From there we turn up, confirm the price on site, and get straight into the work.

Common questions

Local to Willoughby

Do you handle strata and units?

Yes, alongside the detached houses that dominate here, Willoughby has a good number of interwar and more recent infill apartment blocks. Owners, tenants and strata managers are all people we deal with regularly to sort access and see the job through properly.

What suburbs do you service?

We cover Willoughby along with the neighbouring suburbs of Chatswood, Artarmon, Naremburn, Northbridge and Roseville, all looked after by the same crew. The price and the booking process stay identical no matter which of those suburbs the call is coming from.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

We do, everything from Federation homes mid-renovation through to brand new builds going up on cleared blocks. A lot of the older properties round here still run original earthenware pipework, so we always confirm what's underground before tying in anything new.

How local are you, really?

Willoughby Park and the streets around it see us regularly, not as a one-off job. It's a normal part of our run through the suburb, so by the time we knock on the door, we usually already know what's likely gone wrong.
